Indonesia Premier League or the abbreviated with the LPI is one of the football competition in Indonesia's newly launched and will start the season began, January 8, 2011. Indonesia Premier League soccer competition itself is a homeland that was held outside of the governance structure PSSI.
Initiated by businessman Arifin Panigoro, Indonesia Premier League has now has 19 soccer club participants who are ready to hold early season in 2011 with the English Premier League adopt the model of a stand-alone, separate from England Football Federation (FA).
Arya abhiseka one of the initiators of LPI declared that, Indonesia will be different from the Premier League with LSI (Indonesia Super League), which as is known LSI itself is managed by PT Liga Indonesia with 95% of shares belong to PSSI. The remaining 5% is owned by a foundation owned by Nirwan Bakrie. While the LPI will be managed by PT Indonesia with Premier League club owns 100% shares of participants.
For the year tops the Premier League Indonesia PT concentrate held LPI. The second year of competition then made a second strata below the LPI in order to apply the degradation. A total of 19 teams will compete in the season to make sure 2011.
The competition will use a system of full competition or double round robin in which each club will melakoni home and away. Despite pressure from the Parent Organization of Football (PSSI), the organizers are optimistic that competition will run successfully.
